Fentanyl linked to death of North Vancouver couple

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that "the B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the deaths of a North Vancouver couple earlier this month are linked to fentanyl... Hardy and Amelia Leighton, both in their early 30s, were found dead in their North Vancouver home on July 20." Absolutely tragic.

CBC is reporting that James McCormick, accused of being a kingpin in the Lower Mainland distribution of the drug, is set to be arraigned in Vancouver provincial court Friday.

  1. When you demand change, and do what it takes to make it happen, you will get it. Until then, more of the same.

I'll bet these two didn't know they were taking fentanyl. Whoever sold them what they took needs to go down on 2 counts of manslaughter.

    1. Indeed. They don't even look like the heroin type. A teenage girl in Kelowna died from fentanyl. She thought she bought ecstasy. That's a more likely scenario here as well.

  2. This is so sad and it disgusts me to think that these losers are lacing stuff with that shit just to get people hooked. A complete bunch of straight up GOOFS!!

  3. All the reports say they took something laced with fentanyl. I wonder what they thought they were taking? It would be nice if the police would actually say what it was so others can steer clear......but that would make sense and stuff.
