Thanksgiving Truce

Well I’m feeling a little festive. A lot of people have viewed the post of Schrader with the puckered lips and painted nails. Evidently he would really like me to take that post down. I don’t want to reward unacceptable behavior but I’ll make a deal. I’ve taken the post down and made it a draft so it is offline. However, if he gets busted for selling crack again I click post and it goes back online.

Everybody needs a fresh start. After all it’s all about redemption. Changing, growing, progressing. They say some people will never change but the Tupac remix says don’t you believe it. That’s what this life is for. To give us the opportunity to learn, change and progress.

I think it’s pretty clear how I feel about threats to my family. Crossing that line makes me go ballistic. There are times that I do get really tired of doing the blog. This drug war is so shallow and pointless. Life has so much more to offer. That’s why I like to add other things like hiking, snowshoeing and kayaking.

I’m actually considering getting remarried sometime in the future. If and when that happens it means I’ll be setting the blog aside for a much simpler life. Until then perhaps there are things we all can still learn, myself included. The ability to forgive and repent makes us men. Repent simply means change. Progress. My image of hell is that of a dam stopping the flow of a river. Our progression is stopped. We stop learning, growing and progressing. That’s hell. Complete boredom. The absence of love, joy and peace which is what some refer to as the fruits of the spirit.

Deep down that’s what we all want. Yet we can’t experience any of those three things unless we are living a higher code. When we live a higher moral standard we find peace just like the Zen masters of old. Real love and real joy comes from following higher laws driven by service.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I’ve had a wonderful life. I was able to pick my kids up from school every day when they were young and now they are all grown up. I concur with the old timer that I looked up to when I was young. Having kids was the best thing I ever did. Parenthood can be a challenge alright, but nothing worthwhile in life is accomplished without overcoming challenges. If I get shot now it just won’t matter. Life doesn't end at death.

So Happy Thanksgiving. Shallom Shabat. Allahu akbar. La vie c’est bien.

Live, love, laugh. Life is short. Make it worth while.

    1. Whey to “Man up” Matt. You are on some first steps of becoming a better person. Take your son and look him in the eye, and tell him you love him! 15-16 yrs old; they need to hear that.
Agent K. You did the right thing to take down the “Post” at hand, and that shows a lot of daring respect and courtesy. Let’s all believe in things get better with the truth.

  2. wow.. no offence but its odd to see such a conciliatory gesture on your part towards someone that you've written so much about but then i guess the revelation of you true id has changed your approach, its a natural reaction.

  3. He doesn’t know my real id. Others do. I guess I have two points to drive home. The first is I do believe in redemption. That’s the purpose of my blog and web site. To confront evil and give people the opportunity to change. If someone leaves the life, I totally support their right to a fresh start. That’s why I support that group in Denmark that helps gang members leave the life after they have had enough or have been betrayed enough.

The other point is the small fish big fish concept. Giving Rob Shannon a 30 year or a 300 year prison sentence hasn’t touched the Hells Angels drug trade. They just find another mule and carry on business as usual without getting touched themselves. When Matt was caught with crack and heroin it was a very small amount. He wouldn’t be perceived as a large scale dealer. Once he goes to jail the people providing him just find someone else and continue business.

If we really are serious about making a difference, we need to go after the big fish. The ones at the top of the food chain profiting from all the misery at the lower levels on the front line. In Kelowna it appears that the Kingpin crew have folded. Now it’s time to set my sights on the Hells Angels themselves and the next group they create to sell their drugs. Like the Red Scorpions for example.

When the RS or the IS get busted that means the Hells Angels drug trade is reduced. We still have to go further up the food chain but by keeping the pressure on the Red Scorpions and the Independent Soldiers that helps reduce the amount of poison on the street.

    1. i thought the point of your blog was to out gangsters and shine the spotlight on what they do, you know "veritas aequitas" and all that, if you honestly think the leopard has changed its spots then fair enough, post what you like, you know the man better than i.

    2. I don’t think Schrader has changed. I’m giving him the opportunity to do so. It’s up to him to take the ball and run with it. I just think there are bigger targets further up the food chain for me to focus on. I was feeling festive.

  4. Also, in the Kelowna Summer Jam bust, Giles was the vice president of the Kelowna chapter not the president. Who was the president again? That one kinda slipped past me since I was so excited Giles finally got busted. Yet Giles hasn’t made bail and the other guy has. That’s a concern we need to address so things don’t just carry on business as usual after they lock Giles up and throw away the key.

    1. The psychological repercussions of the internet. Where people can "name drop" and threaten while thinking they are safe behind the anonymity of their screen and screen name.

The pscyho-social aspects are quite astounding when you consider the dramatic regression in interpersonal skills, let alone criterion based (critical) thinking.

Patience is a virtue and part of the virtue is being able to wait. Wait until we have actually thought something through and used our criterion based critical thinking skills.

Not only is literacy and comprehension on a steep nose dive in the West, but also the lack of accountability for one's statements.

In the recent past if someone said something, it had to be to another person - now the anonymity of the internet makes anyone able to say anything, yet not be held accountable. Or they think.

However, it affects them personally and degrades their personalities whereas in the past if you did something socially taboo you would find out that your socially unacceptable behaviours would indeed produce unpleasant and unwanted responses. This would help temper and curb many negative and potentially negative actions. Now, however, this is not the case.

Emotional behavioural disorders are no longer tempered, in part, by social norms but sadly seem to often be glamourized, encouraged and promoted by those of similar ilk.

Whereas "Nanaimoguy' would be told by those around him to stop saying such absolute nonsense or he had better "watch it", today he feels he is free (and most likely falsely believes he even has a right!) to "say" such things.

However, the reality of the situation is he is still personally accountable for his own actions (of which this is one) and he really needs to stop, step back and reflect upon what he wrote. If he still thinks there is not a thing wrong with he wrote he really needs professional help as he is manifesting psychosis. (Just for the record, "psychosis" was first used by Ernst Von Reuchtersleben as an alternative for the terms "insanity" and "mania," and is derived from the Greek psyche (mind) and -osis (diseased or abnormal condition)).

Simply put in layman's terms, if you actually believe what you said, you are disordered, have a diseased mind and are insane (a good working definition of insanity is to be out of touch with reality).

    3. Go Dr. Phil. That’s just a sample of what I get all the time but don’t bother approving. This whole idea of organized crime figures going after someone’s family is really messed up. Their own lines have become very blurred leaving them without boundaries or conscience. Not the kind of community I’d like to spend eternity with myself but to each their own. As we sow so shall we reap.

    4. This is why I’m so upset with the weasel I know that keeps posting my id on Kim Bolan’s blog. He is knowingly putting my daughter at risk. Whenever he does it he makes a dig about my daughter. Think what will happen to her. Then he posts my id. I am responsible for what I post. Yet if harm comes to my daughter because of something he has done, that make him morally liable for what happens to her. They wouldn’t have found her had he kept his mouth shut. Someone like Nanaimoguy needs to see what a baby eagle is capable of doing.

  6. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I’m not posting on Kim’s blog. I posted a while ago under Tom Jones and asked Kim about a murder the police claimed was a domestic dispute when it was a guy killing a guy. Then I find out someone was spamming Kim’s Blog with stuff from my site and I made a post under Tom Jones asking them not to spam Kim’s blog with advertizing for my site. That’s it. It’s pretty obvious I’m not the one that posts under gangs suck. Someone else is spamming her blog. It’s not me. I really don’t have the time to. I barely have the time to keep up with my own blog. However, your comment about my daughter shows what kind of a piece of garbage you are yourself.
