Surge in Surrey Drug Overdoses

CBC is reporting that "Police in British Columbia are advising drug users to be cautious, after at least eight people in Surrey overdosed on drugs within 24 hours. Surrey RCMP said the drug ingested was thought to be heroin, but analysis has not yet been done to confirm that no other substances were involved. Police have not yet said whether the drug fentanyl is believed to be involved, as it was in past overdose warnings."

Here's a crazy idea. Why don't we arrest the drug dealers selling the bad heroine publicly outside the Front Room beside the needle exchange instead of just issuing a warning with a free needle?

  2. If dealers are selling a product which has killed people or close to killing them, it might be a very good idea to arrest them and charge them with murder or attempted murder, or manslaughter. It would send a strong message. Their families might be encouraged to file civil lawsuits.

That would cost money and in my opinion Surrey's mayor and/or RCMP c.e.o., just don't care about drug addicts to do anything about this.

As I've said before I do believe nothing will be done in Surrey about crime unless 10 middle class and up, people are murdered in a month. until then its business as usual. Now Surrey has had one death of some one who was middle class. If they have another 9 perhaps the Mayor and that RCMP c.e.o. might dig their heads out of their arses and do something useful.

    1. Nothing will change as long as Bill Fordy and Linda Hepner are in charge.

  3. well I did hope that if 10 middle class people were murdered someone in Surrey might pay attention, even Fordy and hepner. What number do you think has to be killed before those two would do something constructive about the whole mess, or am I to conclude there is nothing to get those 2 to pay attention. O,.K. I got my answer, nothing will help no matter how dangerous it gets.
