Rod Sweeney convicted of assaulting a 14-year-old

The Winnipeg Sun is reporting that "A judge has convicted prominent Hells Angels biker Rod Sweeney of assaulting a 14-year-old leukemia survivor and the boy’s uncle after the two were seen riding their bikes behind Sweeney’s house." This guy has been involved in Winnipeg gang violence for many years.

  1. I can't wait to see what meaningless sentence he gets handed.....the thing I find curious about Canadian judges is they seem to look at each offense as a separate entity, like it didn't matter that the offender made a habit of such douchebaggery. If for instance the potential sentence was 2-5 years, they'll give 2, even for a guy who's been a customer of the justice system for years instead of saying "OK, you've been here before, take 5 years to think about this."

  2. Read the Winnipeg paper article. those guys sound like a bunch of real winners. Beating up a child learning to ride a bike.

Lane ways are public property. Just because you're a member of the H.A. doesn't make the lane way your personal property.

Lets hope the judge sends him to jail for 5 years at least. It will give him some time to think about his actions. Really.......it boggles the mind.
